The stable have a few doubts about the correct trip for him and have gone back to the drawing board in terms of working out a plan for him in that regard. On pedigree, he appears to be better suited to a sprint trip and therefor this 1200m looks like a nice starting point for him. The blinkers get fitted and Anton Marcus jumps aboard this son of Duke Of Marmalade, for his 4th career outing. Having galloped impressively a few days ago, he just needs to reproduce that effort come race time on Monday and that should bring him right into the equation. Either way, Anton Marcus will give us a good indication on where to go next.

She gave a fair account of her herself last time, when having her first outing in KZN and the form line in that sprint has stood up relatively well. The stable have opted to step her up in trip to this 1400m test and on what she has shown us so far, she may struggle over the extra 400m.
Winning Form Comment: Ex Smith GD-2020.08.03. 3rd run after rest. Best MR:66. Fair stable debut. Should be cherry-ripe.

As this filly gets older she is showing signs of a preference for more ground and she appears to be competing off a competitive rating at this stage of her career. Warren Kennedy takes the mount here and will be looking for some luck in running from a wide barrier. If he does manage to find a prominent early position just behind the leading line, this should be a suitable launch pad for a big performance from this daughter of Oratorio. She’ll be a likely place finisher if she finds daylight.
