January 30th, 2023
395 – AFROPOLITAN wins the 2nd race at Hollywoodbets Greyville over 2000m, leading the race from gun to tape. A superb ride by Winning Form-sponsored jockey Kabelo Matsunyane, and trained by Kom Naidoo. The Master Of My Fate gelding is bred by James Armitage.

394 – GOING UP gives the Hollywood Syndicate a good start to WSB Cape Town Met day by winning Race 3 over 1400m. She tracked her stable companion turning for home, quickened up well under Aldo Domeyer and kept finding to hold all challengers at bay. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight is trained by Candice Bass-Robinson and is bred by Ridgemont Highlands.

393 – CLIFF TOP wins the Fairview Merchants (Non-Black Type) with ease over 1200m at Fairview Racecourse this afternoon. He tracked the leader, quickened up well and was geared down at the line. The son of Canford Cliffs was ridden to victory by Winning Form-sponsored jockey Richard Fourie and is now a four-time winner. Well Done to trainer Alan Greeff and the breeders Ridgemont Highlands.

392 – A special victory for the Hollywood Syndicate today as LUSHOZI SHOOP wins on debut at Turffontein. She dictated the race early on, and finished off strongly under a great ride by Winning Form-sponsored jockey Keagan De Melo. She is trained by Mike de Kock and bred by Hemel ‘n Aarde Stud. This filly was named in memory of one of our fellow Hollywoodbets Quality Assurance team members Lushozi Slungile, who passed away during the devastating KZN floods in April 2022. She was a very bubbly person, with a great personality and a great smile. Her favourite song was “Shoop” by Salt n Peppa, which the team will always remember her by.

391 – ANFIELDS ROCKET showed his class to run on strongly from last to record his fifth career victory in Race 5 at Turffontein today. Well done to Winning Form-sponsored jockey Raymond Danielson, trainer Grant Maroun and the breeders Klawervlei Stud.

390 – VEGAS GOLD returns to winning ways in Race 6 over 1000m at Fairview Racecourse this afternoon. He is now a five-time winner and was ridden to victory by Winning Form-sponsored jockey Keagan de Melo. He is trained by Hollywoodbets-sponsored trainer Gavin Smith and is bred Lammerskraal Stud.

389 – PLATINUM SKY leads from start to finish to close off the meeting at Turffontein this afternoon. He was given a well timed ride by Winning Form-sponsored jockey Keagan de Melo. The son of Silvano is trained by Sean Tarry and bred by Maine Chance Farms.

388 – MAKE IT SNAPPY brings up the Syndicate’s second Grade 1 winner in the Cartier Paddock Stakes over 1800m. She dictated her own terms under a perfect ride by Luyolo Mxothwa and kept finding all the way to the line. She was brought to the course in perfect condition by trainer Brett Crawford. 387 – ZINIKELE wins Race 7 at Hollywoodbets Greyville this afternoon and gives the Syndicate a double. She was given a perfect ride by Sporting Post-sponsored jockey Athandiwe Mgudlwa to notch up her third career victory. She is trained by Gareth van Zyl who has done a fantastic job with her and she is bred by Lammerskraal Stud.

386 – AFROPOLITAN wins Race 5 on the Hollywoodbets Greyville polytrack over 1700m. He dictated his own terms in front under Winning Form-sponsored jockey Kabelo Matsunyane, found another kick and won with ease. The son of Master Of My Fate is trained by Hollywoodbets-sponsored Kumaran Naidoo and is bred by Mr G J Armitage.
