We made on addition to our growing string of horses this last weekend, at the 2019 Klawervlei Farm Sale. Lot 17, a filly by Pomodoro out of the National Assembly mare Russian Foxtrot. Incidentally, she is the half-sister to our very own Simply Russian (Captain Of All). See more here.

She wasn’t sales prepped and obviously looked quite rough as a result, but that is by no means a negative. It was easy to see past her scruffy appearance and note the scope and potential she has to turn out into a smart filly. Compared to Simply Russian, she is a lot more backward as she is a November foal whereas Simply Russian was born in August. As such, we expect her to take a bit more time to get going compared to her sister.
She will be spelled by Jane Thomas at her Far End Farms spelling establishment and we intend on giving her all the time she needs, before she is placed for the next phase of her career.
