He found plenty of betting support last time out, when stepping up to the 1400m in just his 4th career start. In hindsight, the step up in trip came too soon for this son of Silvano, but he did well to stay on strongly for 2nd. Incidentally, the form line of that run has held up well, with Anecdote coming out and winning last week after finishing behind Maitland Magic in the run alluded to above.
He now drops back to the 1200m, on the back of some solid work at home, and he should have the credentials to beat this field.
Winning Form Comment: Rested 12 wks. Gelded 2019.12.17. Good last two starts. Should be the one to beat in this field.

She gave a decent account of herself on debut, considering the wide draw she had to overcome. The 1400m was used as a run to get her going and it was a trip far short of her best. She made good late progress over the final 200m in that run and now steps up to the 1800m where we should start to see the best of her. Tristan Godden retains the ride and she should have decent place prospects.
Winning Form Comment: Rested 12 wks. Fair debut effort. Would have gained from the experience. Should improve.

She won her latest over this course and distance when showing plenty of guts and determination to get the upper hand late. A first reserve here, we’ll be hoping for a withdrawal so she can get a run as she seems to be in a good place within herself right now and we’d expect her to be very competitive in this sort of company once again.

He seems to have cost himself at the start in his last two attempts and as such the stable have worked on reschooling him through the pens. He is the type of horse that generally takes a run to get him going after a break from racing, so he may just need this. With that said, if he jumps on terms he should give a decent account of himself and we’ll be looking for a top half outcome this time.
