Monday 6th May 2019
Flamingo Park
Race 1 – 12:20
1200m – Maiden Juvenile Plate
8 – Spanish Fort
Trainer: Cliffie Miller
Jockey: Marco Van Rensburg
Wgt: 60.0kg
Draw: 1(14)
Current Betting: 10/1
We have made the decision to move him to Kimberley due to his apparent preference for the sand. His work at home has been very good, although he will be gelded immediately after this run. We are hoping for some improvement, as he really hasn’t arrived at the course and replicated his work at home, in his two starts thus far.
Winning Form Comment: Scope for improvement. Place chance.
Thursday 9th May 2019
Vaal Turf
Race 1 – 12:20
1200m – Maiden Plate
14 – Syx Shooter
Trainer: Clinton Binda
Jockey: Kabelo Matsunyane (-2.5kg)
Wgt: 60.0kg
Draw: 11(17)
Predicted Betting: 33/1
He is starting to show signs of a big run and the signs were there again last Thursday, when he finished 4th (2.45 lengths off the winner). He took that run well and he should be cherry ripe for this outing. He has improved with each of his last three efforts and he should now enjoy the step up to the 1200m, where we give him a good each-way chance.
Winning Form Comment: Carded to race 02 May 2019.
