Port Elizabeth based conditioner GAVIN SMITH is based at Fairview Racecourse.
He has won most of the province’s big races and also won a few feature races in other provinces including the KZN Breeders Mile.
The best horse he has ever trained is Bold Silvano, who famously joined the Mike de Kock ranks before winning the country’s most prestigious race, the Vodacom Durban July.
