The Hollywood Syndicate have traveled the recent winner, Deago Deluxe to Kimberly today. He is the syndicates only runner this week and we give him a decent each way chance. He has taken his last run very well and if he takes to the sand, he will be flying home late. Apprentice Dylan Lerena gets the ride, claiming 2.5kg’s which will certainly enhance his chances in this relatively weak field.
The dangers appear to be in the form of Tally Mo who won his last start and appears to enjoy the course and distance, as well as Madame Defarge who improved considerably in her second start in the province.
Winning Form comment: The Gauteng visitor DEAGO DELUXE clearly prefers the minimum trip and an unintentional change of tactics benefitted the four-year old who ran on smartly to achieve his maiden success earlier this month. He will relish the likely suicidal tempo on his Northern Cape debut and could be slightly ahead of the handicapper. Of course much depends on how he handles this surface.
