He makes his handicap debut today after a modest performance last time out, when drawing wide on the Hollywoodbets Greyville Turf. That effort was against some of the best two year olds around and having turned three now, he will be exposed to older opposition. He also drops back in trip, having found the 1300m too far last time. He is yet to miss the first three places in his three attempts over this trip and on that alone, he must be considered strongly. The slight concern would be the 91 Merit Rating he has received, which means he has been lumped with weight to carry in this division and that creates a bit of uncertainty. It looks a rather competitive 1000m dash and we expect him to at least find the first 3 places.
