June 14th, 2022
Raced over 1400m at the Vaal. Finished 2nd out of 6 runners.

May 26th, 2022
Raced over 1600m at the Vaal. Anthony Delpech post-race comment: Raced with no cover throughout the race and that did not suit her. I feel if he had covered her behind the horse on her outside, she would have gone close to winning.

May 17th, 2022
Raced over 1200m at the Vaal. Anthony Delpech post-race comment: She definitely needs more ground. She travelled well and when they quickened at the 600m she was caught flat footed. She will be running next week Thursday over 1600m at the Vaal.

April 26th, 2022
Raced over 1200m on the Vaal Classic course. Anthony Delpech post-race comment: She ran on very well but gives away too much start. I feel she will be better over more ground but needs to handle the turn better.

March 26th, 2022
Raced over 1160m at Turffontein on the Standside course. Anthony Delpech post-race comment: It was a good run. She could have won if the jockey went straight.

March 3rd, 2022
Raced over 1600m on the Turffontein Inside course. Anthony Delpech post-race comment: Gavin Lerena said she never travelled once during the race. It will be best if we go back to the straight over 1200m and put a pair of blinkers on her.

February 10th, 2022
Raced over 1400m at the Vaal. Anthony Delpech post-race comment: It was an improved run. Sean Tarry felt that she needs the turn, but her only problem is that she struggles to handle going around the turn. With more racing, she will learn.

January 18th, 2022
Raced over 1600m on the Vaal Classic course. Anthony Delpech post-race comment: The pace was very slow so Keagan took her to the front. Sean wanted him to give her a chance, but he said she came out to quick and had no other option but to lead. At the end she only finished 4 lengths behind in a very strong company.

January 1st, 2022
Raced over 1400m at Turffontein. Anthony Delpech post-race comment: I spoke To Gavin Lerena after the race and he said she travelled on the wrong leg to whole way around the turn. She still needed the run and said we should keep her up the straight until she gets stronger.

Feedback from trainer Sean Tarry:
Imbewu had a comeback run over 1100m (2021/12/11) which was very good, over a distance way short of her best. She is nominated for 1st of January over 1400m. If she runs, Gavin will retain the ride.

She took her place in the Grade 2 Zulu Kingdom Explorer Golden Slipper. She came from a long way back and finished her race off well. Trainer Sean Tarry is happy with her run and he will put her away and will bring her back for the Autumn season. See the replay here.

She won with authority at the first time of asking over 1160m at Turffontein Racecourse this afternoon. The manner in which she drew away from the field was eye-catching. She was given a confident ride by Lyle Hewitson and trained by Sean Tarry. Well done to the breeder Mr G J Armitage.
