We had the incredible privilege of hosting former Proteas cricketer and Hollywoodbets Brand Ambassador Vernon Philander at Summerveld this past week. While doing so, Vernon got to visit his namesake, Vernon The Surgeon, who is currently in training with Dean Kannemeyer Racing. He is a gelding by Vercingetorix, out of the Commands (AUS) mare Queen’s Command (AUS), and was bred by Wilgerbosdrift Stud Farm – South Africa. “The Surgeon” will look to make his debut hopefully in December or January.
