He tracked the leaders turning for home, quickened up well and held all challengers at bay. He was given a perfect ride by Teaque Gould and is trained by Juan Nel. The son of Soft Falling Rain is now a three-time winner and is bred by Wilgerbosdrift and Mauritzfontein.

He was slow into stride over 1000m on the Vaal Classic course this afternoon. He was settled in behind runners and was hesitant to go through the gap. He is much better than today’s outing and he still has plenty of scope. It will not be long until the son of Soft Falling Rain finds himself in the winner’s enclosure.

He ran another good race over 1000m on the polytrack at Hollywoodbets Greyville this afternoon. He showed good pace once again and stayed on nicely to finish third. He was having his second start at Hollywoodbets Greyville over 1200m this afternoon. He was well-behaved at the starting gates which is a big plus. He moved up like a winner, but was collared in the shadow of the post. The son of Soft Falling Rain is a progressive type and it should not be long before he finds himself in the winner’s enclosure. He made his debut at Hollywoodbets Scottsville over 1000m today. He did not get off to the best of starts, but moved up well and just showed signs of needing it in the closing stages. He will come on from the run and there should be improvement to come in his next start. See the replay here.
