340 – SHAPE OF YOU won Race 7 at Hollywoodbets Greyville Polytrack over 1600m. She was settled at the rear of the field under Athandiwe Mgudlwa and ran on powerfully to notch up her second career victory. The daughter of Duke Of Marmalade is trained by Gareth van Zyl.
Anthony Delpech post-race comment: Very good win considering the conditions on the day. She was the only horse to come from the back and win, as the track suited front runners on the day.

She is bordering on the line of having had enough, physically, however she has had two grass gallops and she is hanging in there. She has begun speedy cutting herself quite badly. She’s just about fit enough to race. Looking at the program the next most suitable race for her is a 1600 at Greyville on the grass on 12/8/22. I’m aiming her at that race.

Raced over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Greyville on the turf. Anthony Delpech post-race comment: She was not given the best ride after being told to follow the speed, he was sitting at the back of the field. She should have won.

Raced over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Greyville on the turf. Anthony Delpech post-race comment: It was a great run from a poor draw. I felt if the jockey stayed on the fence turning for home, she would have won.
August 23rd, 2021
She was returning from a 24-week break after winning her maiden. She raced over 1400m on the polytrack at Hollywoodbets Greyville which is a distance short of her best. She will come on with the run under her belt and should go close to winning over a distance which suits her better. See the replay here.
March 10th, 2021
She did it the hard way, but managed to get the job done this time around. Well done to trainer Gareth van Zyl, Anton Marcus for a solid ride and breeders Applewood Trading.
February 7th, 2021
It was obviously disappointing to see her not find the winners enclosure today, after travelling so well throughout. In the end, she found one better on the day and went down gamely in defeat. She has now placed three times from four outings and should pick up that maiden victory soon. See the replay of her run here.
November 29th, 2020
It was a decent effort to finish 3rd today, when overcoming a wide draw in the 5th race at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. She ran on nicely in the closing stages, despite being caught wide early on. See the replay here.
November 17th, 2020
After a very positive debut a few weeks back, this filly breezed up on the grass at Summerveld at the start of this week and she appears to have come on nicely. She should be ready for her next test soon. She is the one closest to the camera here.
October 18th, 2020
It was a solid effort by this filly today. She jumped on terms and finished off her run very nicely. As expected, the 1200m was a touch on the sharp side but she should be a major contender next time out when stepping up in trip. See the replay here.
October 10th, 2020
This filly has come a long way of late and she has certainly settled down since joining the Gareth van Zyl outfit. Seen here, closest to the camera, having a preparation workout ahead of her debut on Sunday 18 October 2020.
November 29th, 2019
She has settled in nicely at Robbie Dawson’s spelling farm and will spend the next 6-8 weeks on the farm, before we look to bring her in to full training.
