Draw: 8 (9 Runners)
Predicted Betting: 5/1
He ran an encouraging race when fourth on debut over this distance at the Vaal. His work has improved, and he looks good. It’s a competitive field, but he’s expected to showcase his growth and run a good race.
Winning Form Comment: Fair debut effort. Should make natural improvement.

Race 5 – 14:30
1400m – Charity Mile 1 November Maiden Juvenile Plate (Fillies)
4 – Mamlambo
Breeding: Canford Cliffs (IRE) – Water Spirit by Jackson
Trainer: Heather Adamson
Jockey: Marco van Rensburg
Wgt: 60.0kg
Draw: 9 (9 Runners)
Predicted Betting: 5/2
She caught the eye when second on debut over 1160m on this course. She steps up to 1400m and the obvious concern is the widest draw of nine. However, she’s a classy filly and will be finishing strongly. The daughter of Canford Cliffs is in a good space and she’s expected to go close to winning.
Winning Form Comment: Caught the eye on debut and should love the rise to 1400m. Strong chance.

Race 9 – 16:55
1000m – Next Turffontein Racemeeting Thursday 26 June Maiden Plate
5 – Old Fashioned
Breeding: Canford Cliffs (IRE) – Cuvee Brut by Count Dubois (GB)
Trainer: Clinton Binda
Jockey: S’manga Khumalo
Wgt: 60.0kg
Draw: 9 (10 Runners)
Predicted Betting: 7/1
His last couple of starts have been a tad disappointing. The son of Canford Cliffs drops back to 1000m and the blinkers have been re-fitted. S’manga Khumalo is booked to ride, and we’re hoping to see him involved at the finish.
Winning Form Comment: Blinkers ON. Best MR:76. Finished second in both C&D attempts. Gets blinkers re-fitted.
