650 – INGQWELE brings up Hollywood Racing’s 650th winner in impressive fashion over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. He was given a perfect ride by Hollywood Racing-retained jockey Sean Veale. The son of Fire Away was brought to the course in perfect condition by Mike and Mathew de Kock. Well done to the breeders Wilgerbosdrift and Mauritzfontein. 648 – CATCH YOUR BREATH wins a game race over 1600m on the Fairview polytrack this afternoon. The daughter of Canford Cliffs was ridden to victory by Ridgemont-sponsored Jockey Richard Fourie and is now a five-time winner. She is trained by Alan Greeff and is bred by Ridgemont. 647 – IGUGULETHU wins Race 6 over 1400m at Fairview this afternoon. He was ridden to victory by Craig Zackey and is now a three-time winner. The son of Erupt is trained by Hollywoodbets-sponsored Gavin Smith and is bred by Jagessar Limited. iGugulethu is a Xhosa name that directly translates to ‘our pride’, and is named after the Gugulethu township in Cape Town. 646 – KAALVOET wins on debut over 1000m at the Vaal this afternoon. He showed good pace under SplashOut-sponsored Jockey Calvin Habib and kept finding to make a winning start to his career. The son of Elusive Fort is trained by Hollywoodbets-sponsored Clinton Binda and is bred by Mr P G De Beyer. The name means “barefoot” in Afrikaans and is an apt name for Clinton Binda as most of his horses run without shoes. Race Replay & Interview.

645 – CHAMPONELLE closed off the meeting in fine style over 1200m on the Fairview polytrack, this afternoon. 642 – ASINANTANGA gets up where it matters most to win Race 3 over 1400m on the Fairview turf track this afternoon. The son of Rafeef was given a strong ride by Craig Zackey to shed his maiden tag. He is trained by Hollywoodbets-sponsored Gavin Smith and is bred by Lammerskraal Stud. Asinantanga was named by Nomthetho Lucia Ndulo from Hollywoodbets Bellville (WCP). 641 – I’M A FIREBALL showed his quality to give Hollywood Racing their first Juvenile winner of the 2024/2025 season. He quickened up well over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville under Kabelo Matsunyane and there is a lot more to come. The son of Vercingetorix is trained by Mike and Mathew de Kock and is bred by Klawervlei Stud. Well done to Trevor and Jo Brown at Ashburton who put in a lot of work before he went into training.
