INT 2nd – ONE STRIPE failed by three quarters of a length to catch pacesetter Zulu Kingdom in the 38th running of the $650,000 Gr1 Maker’s Mark Mile at Keeneland on Friday. It was a superb effort in a race where traffic played a major part and One Stripe lost his position on occasion. INT 2nd – ONE STRIPE produced a dazzling late run under Gavin Lerena in the eighth renewal of the 1800m $1 million Gr1 Pegasus World Cup Turf Invitational at Gulfstream Park on Saturday evening when failing by a long neck to nab stablemate Test Score in a thrilling Graham Motion 1-2. Tucked up in the back of midfield for much of the trip, One Stripe was angled out wide by Gavin Lerena, and the Drakenstein Stud-bred son of One World just ran out of runway as he cut back Test Score’s lead with every stride.
