Thursday 21 November 2019
Vaal Turf

 Race 3 – 13:40
1200m – Maiden Plate

10 – Kings Road
Trainer: Clinton Binda
Jockey: Callan Murray
Wgt: 59.0kg
Draw: 3 (18 Runners)
Current Betting: 33/1

He is still a bit backwards and the yard are still trying to overcome a few quirks that this son of Vercingetorix has, namely his slightly pedestrian nature when it comes to exiting the stall gates. Having already seen the grass three times, we still expect him to be very green but the experience will do him the world of good. Callan Murray takes the ride and we’ll be looking for him to give a decent account of himself first up and an outside place chance is a more realistic outlook.

13 – Zig Zag
Trainer: Clinton Binda
Jockey: Ryan Munger
Wgt: 59.0kg
Draw: 9 (18 Runners)
Current Betting: 16/1

This son of Twice Over has also had three grass gallops already, but he is also expected to be on the green side. At this early stage, he has the tendency to react negatively when given a bit of encouragement with the crop, but the experience should also do him the world of good. Ryan Munger takes the ride and similarly to the stable companion, he has an outside place chance at best.
