The trip of 1450m has been a long time coming and he looks to be at the stage of his career where he will relish this trip. He lines up in a unique Maiden Plate under handicap conditions, aptly named a Maiden Handicap. This means he is carded to carry 56kg’s less 2,5kg’s being claimed by apprentice Luke Ferraris.
His best efforts have come from races around the bend and the draw (1) will definitely be in his favour.
The plan will be to settle him just off the pace early on and let him run on at the end. With the race conditions in mind, this should be his best chance of leaving the maidens.
