A maiden winner in his last start, he now steps into unchartered waters and enters handicap territory where he faces much stronger opposition. With that said, the handicapper has treated him relatively fairly and he comes into this race off a mark of 70. He may need to drop one or two more points before we see the best of him, but with a record of a win and second place from two outings over this trip, he should give a decent account of himself here.

She narrowly escaped losing her life when suffering a severe injury to her hock in January this year, but has manged to overcome the odds and has made a dramatic recovery. She not only survived the ordeal, she has really flourished over the past few months since arriving at the Brett Crawford yard. On the back of three solid grass gallops, she is now ready to head to the racecourse despite being a touch underdone for this run. The 1200m will be on the sharp side, but it will be a perfect prep for when she steps up to the 1400m in her follow up effort. Under the circumstances we’ll be delighted to see her give a good account of herself and finish within 4 lengths of the winner.

After that emphatic maiden win in just her third outing, she unfortunately tied up with a short bout of colic and that would’ve put her on the back foot as far as her preparation is concerned. Having spent some time on the farm, she has come back into full work and is ticking along nicely. This 1600m trip will be a touch on the sharp side for her, but it will be an ideal prep run for when we step her up in trip next time out. With that said, we’ll be looking to see her finish in the top half of the field.

After a solid debut just over two months ago where she was nowhere near ready, she has since struggled with a virus and seems to have overcome it now. She isn’t a filly that shows much at home, but we feel that she is packed with ability and it won’t be long before she leaves the maidens. With that said, she hasn’t been tuned up for this run and she may find that the 1700m has come a bit too soon for her. On ability alone however, she should have a useful place chance.
Winning Form Comment: Rested 11 wks. Fair debut and should relish the extra on her pedigree.
