9 – Chief Officer
Trainer: Cliffie Miller

Wgt: 60.0kg
Draw: 9 (12 Runners)

He seems have a gone backwards over the past few months, culminating in a very poor run last time out when having his third outing at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. He returns to the Polytrack where he has finished second in all three attempts and if he manages to get over from barrier 9 this time, we will be hoping for an improved outcome. On current form, he has a place chance at best.

Winning Form Comment: Ex Wright A J-2020.07.11. Gelded 2019.06.10. Best MR:79. First run for new stable, watch.

Race 5 – 14:45
2000m – Stay Safe With A Mask MR 67 Handicap

11 – Storm Ruler
Trainer: Alyson Wright
Jockey: Lyle Hewitson
Wgt: 59.5kg
Draw: 11 (12 Runners)
Current Betting: 6/1

He ran on like a train in his last outing, back in February this year over the same course and distance. A surprising finish considering that he generally prefers to settle closer to the front of the early speed. Drawn out wide this time, those tactics will be required once again and he will be given the best possible chance with top young rider Lyle Hewitson in the irons. Having dropped to a very competitive rating, he should be a major contender here and we give him a decent each way chance.

Winning Form Comment: Rested 24 wks. Best MR:71. Should have finished closer in latest, chance.

Race 6 – 15:25
1800m – Soccer Any 15 FM 67 Handicap

3 – Anika The Angel
Trainer: Alyson Wright
Jockey: Tristan Godden
Wgt: 61.0kg
Draw: 3 (12 Runners)
Current Betting: 6/1

She has really come on a lot since her maiden win last time out and she steps up to this 1800m test full of confidence. With that said, and with the greatest of respect to the field she conquered last time out, it wasn’t a field of standout individuals and there will be question marks with regards to the strength of that form line. However, she lands a plum draw and Tristan Godden retains the ride. She should be able to find a prominent early position and on pedigree we are expecting her to get every inch of the trip. With this being her handicap debut, we’ll be very pleased with a top 5 finish.

Winning Form Comment: 3rd run after rest. Best MR:81. Makes handicap debut. Runs for Godden and respect from neat draw.
