He gave a very good account of himself last week to finish a close third, when having his third run after a rest. That was over a trip that was short of his best, in slightly stronger company and his followers will be buoyed by the fact that he now steps up to his preferred 1200m distance with S’manga Khumalo retaining the ride. Despite the fact that he drops slightly in class, a number of contenders appear to be well handicapped having dropped in the ratings, making this a very competitive final race of the day.
With that said, he will be looking to repeat that fast finish he put on display last time, to go within 0,75- lengths of winning and on current form he should be a major contender here.
