Updates – White Cedar

March 11th, 2020
Solid effort by this striking grey in the 6th race at Hollywoodbets Greyville today. A trip short of his best, he did well to run on in the closing stages to finish in 2nd and he should be a leading contender over the extra furlong next time out.

He’s back in full work after a short break. Seen below with Hollywoodbets Marketing team member, Traci-Lee Zima. He has such a great temperament, it is no surprise to see him receiving a whole lot of love and attention.

After an emphatic win to leave the maidens, he is now having a bit of time off on the farm. We will look to bring him back in a few weeks to get him going for his next campaign.

Always nice to see them win like this. A commanding win by the leggy grey White Cedar, at Greyville Racecourse today. A great training feat by Alyson Wright and well done to Lyle Hewitson for a decisive ride once again. Congratulations to breeders Rous Bros (Henham Stud). Watch the replay here.

January 9th, 2019
WHITE CEDAR took to the Polytrack in a maiden plate on Wednesday 9th January. Despite finishing 4th, he finished within 2 lengths of the winner (making it his second consecutive run where he has finished within 2 lengths of the winner). Watch the race replay here:

He has taken time to get going, but strengthened up well over the 2018 winter. He surprised us in his barrier trial and subsequent first official start (9/11/2018), when finishing just 2,75 lengths behind the winner (Carlburg). He has come on nicely from that run and we are happy with the way he is going.
