Bred by the well-known Hemel ‘n Aarde Stud, she is a filly by Captain of All, out of a National Emblem mare called Russian Foxtrot.

The mare has already produced 3 foals (2 runners / 2 winners) and both have already earnt some black type. The first foal, RIKITIKITANA won the Christmas Handicap (Gr3) and Rockin Russian ran 2nd in the Thekwini Stakes (Gr1) last year.

Specimen wise, she is very racy and will no doubt be an early sprinter before she gets more ground later on in her career.

Stable Placement:
We haven’t placed this filly with a stable just yet, she will spend the next few months on the spelling farm before she is sent off to begin the next phase of her career.

Update on SIMPLY RUSSIAN, our Captain Of All filly off the KZN Yearling Sale. She arrived at Garth Puller’s stable on Friday and the photos are of her first morning at track on Tuesday.
She is the third foal from the mare Russian Foxtrot. The first two foals were both Graded Stakes winners, namely:
1. Rikitikitana (C) – won 4 races / placed 9 times – R473 000 including winning the Gr3 Christmas Handicap
2. Rockin Russian (F) – won 1, placed 5 times – R308 000 including 2nd in the Gr1 Thekwini Stakes.
Looking forward to this one. She has always been quite a leggy filly, but has really started to put on some condition in the last month.

Since arriving on the farm she has really flourished into a well topped, leggy filly. She has been broken in and is currently trotting and we are very happy with the way she is going. She will more than likely take a bit of time, but we are going to get cracking with her in the next few weeks and she will come into Garth Pullers KZN yard at Summerveld to start the next phase of her career.
