Updates – Seattle Force

June 2nd, 2019
Seattle Force confirms his ability and lands the hat-trick of wins, to win the 7th Race at Turffontein today. A remarkable achievement to win over 1800m, after smashing his opposition over 2600m and 2000m prior to this. Well done to trainer Stuart Pettigrew, jockey Diego De Gouveia and breeder Varsfontein Stud.

Another win makes it back to back victories for Seattle Force and he takes his career record to 10 runs – 3 wins – 3 places. It doesn’t look like he is stopping here after an emphatic win over the 2000m at the Vaal. He skipped clear at the top of the straight and it was always clear that he would outstay this field, given the chance. He is certainly an exciting future prospect for the syndicate. Another solid ride by Diego De Gouveia and well done to trainer Stuart Pettigrew as well as the breeder, Varsfontein Stud.

A nice win by this son of Mambo In Seattle over his first real stamina test of 2600m. Surprisingly for such  a big horse, he showed an encouraging turn of foot on the tight Turffontein inside track and once he skipped clear of the field it was always going to be tough to catch him. He has a huge economical stride and it looks as if he will love the longer galloping courses, here on the Highveld.

We have made the decision to move Seattle Force to Gauteng, where he has joined up with the Stuart Pettigrew stable. The stable is synonymous with conditioning staying types of horses, so the decision was an easy one. We feel that he will be better suited to the galloping tracks in Gauteng and look forward to seeing him thrive in his new environment.
